December Daily Pages 12/06/23: DIY Paper Wreath Photo Frame
December Daily inspiration is the best around
Behind the Page
A simple 3 things about right now page (my go to page on Thursdays — even though this is page is technically documenting a Wednesday). I got around to making this patterned paper wreath, which I first saw in the Ali Edwards December Daily Try This Product Play course. To get some storytelling in, I added three labels in the same color cardstock as the right page and stamped with some gold ink.
Technique of the Day
This patterned paper wreath was a lot of fun to create. It definitely took a little bit longer than I planned, but it was so worth the time and effort. To create this wreath, I traced and cut concentric circles out to form a cardstock ring. Then I cut up a bunch of patterned paper strips and wrapped those around the circle.
Reflections & Insights
I think it would have worked better/been easier if I used double-sided paper. The most time-consuming part was putting additional strips of patterned paper on the backs so the wreath wasn’t half plain white.
I’m definitely going to make more of these. It would be a really great on an intro page for a Book of Me.
