Behind the Page
December Daily Pages is here. For this year’s December project, I’m working in a DIY binder ring album. And today, I created my “reason why” page. The focal point is this fun felt semi-circle stitched pocket.
On the front of the journaling card (inserted into the pocket) I wrote out my reason why I’m documenting this December, and what I want from this project.
On the back side I added a photo of Jeff and myself from our trip to Scotland, and used some red sticker paper to frame the picture.
Technique of the Day
This red sticker frame is so much fun. In order to make it, I used two sets of round things to trace two concentric circles on the back of my red sticker paper. I used my small scissors for some precision cutting and then pulled the backing off the sticker paper and stuck my frame down around my photo.
Tips & Creative Wisdom
I used some washi tape to help me line up my journaling on the card. I probably could have fit a few more lines of journaling on there, but I really wanted it to be straight more than anything else. If you’re not that great at writing straight without lines, this is a great way to help you keep your words where they belong.
