Daily Pages: Cutting and Currently
When you slow down and enjoy the process, even the simplest page can feel epic.
Behind the Page
I did some precision cutting today, it’s one of my go-to techniques right now, especially when .
Today’s page looks deceptively simple, but it honestly took me longer than any page I’ve made so far this year. Sure, perhaps I was chatting a bit during the live session, but no more than normal. I just really wanted to spend some time really enjoying the precision cutting.
When I got to my desk this morning (around 10am since Jeff was home for a meeting this morning) I had some work to get done on this weekend’s Book of Me Live session. I started cleaning up the top of my bookshelf (where I keep a bunch of my paper supplies) and grabbed my Currently card for the day and started looking through my stack of Brandi Kincade illustrated postcards.
I picked one to play with, threw it on my desk, and booted up the live session.
Technique of the Day
This week’s Currently List:
Watching:
You (I just started season 2 last night).
Soccer is back on, mostly watched highlights this week, but I did catch my RBNY win at home.
More Iron Chef on YouTube
I’m also watching Mythic Quest and Severance week to week.
Reading:
Computer tutorials. I’m moving a bunch of stuff around on my other websites and there are always roadblocks.
Listening:
Arcane soundtrack on Apple Music
Sleep sounds on Apple Music
Making:
Book of Me pages and videos
Feeling:
Cold. It’s freezing here. Then it’s gonna warm up, then it’s gonna snow, and then it’s apparently going to be 67 degrees next week. This is the stuff of headache nightmares.
Planning:
Garden stuff! First thing on the list is to clean out my front garden room. But I need for it to be warmer to really want to spend extended time up there.
Loving:
CSA produce

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Turn Routine into Ritual
Making a Currently List while cutting and assembling your page is a great way to blend creativity and reflection.
Pro Tip: Try pairing an easy creative task (like precision cutting) with journaling prompts to make both feel more intentional.
