Today is all about making something on the first page of your notebook.
Let's open up and get started.
Today I'm going to share some of my favorite ways to start off your Daily Pages notebook so that when you’re facing that first page, you’ve already got some great ideas in your head.
The first page should (hopefully) be one of the easiest pages you create. But, that's not always the case.
The biggest issues people run into is decision fatigue and fear of the blank page. And while that’s not just with the first page, it can definitely be amplified when you’ve got a brand new, totally empty notebook.
Three Types Of Inside Cover pages:
(the examples are in the video above!)
1. Just the Date
One of my most-used options. I love starting a book with today's date so I know when I started that specific notebook. You can write the date by hand, on a label, use a date stamp, or try something completely different.
2. A Fun/Special Supply
The first page in a notebook is a great place to show off something special. I love putting special vinyl stickers, tiny art prints or anything else I want to showcase.
3. Whatever You Have On Your Desk
Daily Pages is all about using what you've got, and that includes whatever random stuff you've got on your desk at the moment. The first page isn't sacred. You're allowed to put down whatever you want and come back tomorrow to work on the next page.
As always, you can create whatever you want on your Daily pages, my ideas are always just suggestions. If they don’t feel like they’re working with you and your (life)style -- go in the direction that is calling to you.
Remember that there is no wrong way to approach this project. And as long as you’re showing up and giving it a try -- you’re succeeding.
