Daily Pages: Build a Palette That Sparks Joy
Lean into what makes you excited and let your palette guide the process
Behind the Page
Happy Friday friends! I hope that you’ve had a great week. Reminder that tomorrow’s the first of the month, and we’ve got a new Masterclass happening at Noon. I hope you can join us. Details below.
Daily Pages Masterclass: Art as Inspiration
It’s time for our monthly Daily Pages Masterclass, and this month is all about using artists as inspiration for telling your story. As part of Women’s History Month, we’re diving into how we can take creative cues from influential female artists and translate their styles, techniques, and themes into our own Daily Pages.
Technique of the Day
Today I just wanted to have fun. Right now, fun for me is paints. So, I pulled my gel plate over and grabbed a stencil. I decided that I wanted extra fun colors, so we pulled a rainbow palette and tried to make it work.
I’m happy with how the finished page came out. It’s got all the colors in there, and I love how everything blends. I’m pretty new to multicolor prints, so I’m going to keep playing around and see what techniques I like (drying between layers) and which don’t really serve me and the art I’m going for.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Pick a Fun Color Palette
Choosing a set of colors you love makes the process even more enjoyable. Rainbows? Pastels? Moody neutrals? Start with colors that make you happy and go from there.
Pro tip: Swatch out your colors on scrap paper before you start to see how they mix and layer.
