Daily Pages: A Scrapbook Approach
Letting photos, color, and simple layouts guide today's page—no overthinking required
Behind the Page
Today is a tired day. I’ve been feeling extra tired since getting over the flu a week ago. Additionally, the weather this week is up and down like crazy, which is not great for my headaches at all. Luckily, I’ve been pretty good in the pain department, but some of the other side effects (tired, lack of appetite, fuzzy brain, visual stuff) are super annoying and get in the way of trying to exist as a normal human.
Today, because of the headaches, I really had no idea what I wanted to do when I got to my desk, other than a new
stamp set that I had got in the mail earlier this morning. I’ve been working on my Book of Me course a whole bunch this week, so I’ve got scrapbooking on the brain and thought—hey, let’s go for a scrapbook-y page.Technique of the Day
When I got started today, I literally wandered around my room for a good 30 seconds with the new stamp set, trying to find one more thing that sparked some inspiration. I grabbed this blue gel plated deli paper (I love the slight transparency of it) and started to go from there.
I looked through my old photo box, found this one with the pop of yellow, and decided to go from there—pulling yellow papers, ink and embellishments. I’m a huge fan of single photo scrapbook layouts, so this came out perfectly. Photo on one side, journaling on the other side.
If I were making this a full scrapbook page, I’d probably add a title with alphabet stickers or some stamps, but here in my Daily Pages notebook, I think it looks good just like this.
How It’s Made
Supply List

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Let One Supply Spark Your Creativity
On low-energy days, picking one new (or forgotten) supply—like a stamp set, paper, or embellishment—can be the perfect way to kickstart a page. Let that one item guide your decisions without overthinking it.
Pro Tip: Keep a small stash of inspiration supplies on your desk—things that excite you—to grab when you're feeling stuck. I love using new supplies—it ensures that things don’t sit around and get stale.
