Behind the Page
Today I played around with some washi stickers and alcohol ink markers. These washi stickers come black and white, but look like they really want to be colored in. To color on washi, you need something that’s not going to rub off immediately (like any inks with water-based dye in them). So I grabbed the limited amount of alcohol ink markers that I have, and started playing around.
Technique of the Day
Coloring in these washi stickers with alcohol ink markers was so much fun. I grabbed a combination of greens and colored in all the leaves, and then I found some reds and yellows for the flowers themselves.
I had so much fun playing around with these markers that I’m going to put more alcohol ink markers on my Christmas/Birthday wish list.
Reflections & Insights
This was one of those Daily Pages where I’m glad I have a space to play. It feels so good to have a place where it doesn’t really matter what the end result looks like, as long as I learned something from what I was trying out that day. And today I learned a lot of great things about alcohol inks and washi stickers!
