Behind the Page

While I was cleaning up over the weekend, I came across an older stamp that I had never used before. It had the word Currently on one of the stamps, so I threw it on my desk to use for Daily Pages today.

Technique of the Day

Aside from the Currently stamp, the set had a few different mark making shapes, so I grabbed a sheet of cardstock and created my own DIY repeating stamped background with two of the stamps.

I used a stamp with tiny dots and some orange, as well as a circle stamp with some yellow. I’m really digging the warm color tones during our cold spell here. I finished it up with the Currently stamp inside a little label stamp for the left side of my page.

Reflections & Insights

Currently List makes my life so much easier. Not only do I know what I’m going to be making when I start the week, but it helps me actually document what’s going on in my life. If I didn’t have the prompts and the journaling card, I wouldn’t get these stories onto my pages — especially first thing on Monday. But with this process, I’m turning one of my least creative times into stories, play, and time in my notebook.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Mark making stamps are a great way to create mixed media looks without pulling out all the messy supplies. I love mixing and matching different colors and types of inks to get a unique look.
