Daily Pages 03/12/24: Collage + Paint = Play
Texture, color, and layering -- a great way to just mess around and get a feel for what you like.
Behind the Page
I am exhausted today. I think it’s the Daylight Saving time actually hitting me. I feel so spaced out. That didn’t really help much when I went to make my page this afternoon and my mind was just like — ummmmmm. So I wrapped a few scraps that I had laying around my desk and started arranging them in a way that worked.
Technique of the Day
Today was all about putting some warm papers on the page. I added in some textured cardstock (DIY embossing), a bit of patterned paper, some watercolor scraps, and a few stickers for the background. I used an Ali Edwards story kit quote card to bring everything together.
Reflections & Insights
I like having these little scraps of textured cardstock. I create them with my manual die-cut machine and embossing folders. I like to run little bits through the machine and then keep them on my desk for small collages like this one.
