Behind the Page

Happy International Women’s Day! I’ll share a video below with more on the holiday. I wanted to celebrate today (and the end of the week) with a boldly stamped page on one of my favorite DIY papers.

Technique of the Day

I made this background paper with my brayer and some acrylic paint. This is the page where I rolled off the excess paint from my brayer during one of my latest gelli print sessions. The off-page is always one of my favorite prints. I just love splotches of color together.

Reflections & Insights

Bold black lettering on colorful paper is one of my favorite techniques. You’ll see it pop up in my notebooks throughout the years. It’s a big part of my personal style. I love how the black letters really make your message pop — and you’ve still got great art, color, and creativity happening in the the background.
