Behind the Page

Today in our 30 Days of Daily Pages: Women’s History Month class, we’re talking all about Georgia O’Keeffe. For the last few weeks I was looking for these washi tape stickers, and finally found them while cleaning up this morning. More than anything, I wanted to play around some more with acrylic paints, and see how they would look on these clear washi tape stickers, and this was the perfect excuse.

I took a few colors of acrylic paint and a waterbrush (watch in the video below) to create today’s page. I really love how these flowers turned out. Using the waterbrush helped me keep the transparency high enough that you can see the outline of the flower fully. I also got a few great gelli prints after using my gel plate as a palette.
