Daily Pages 03/06/24: Painting Washi Tape Stickers
A new washi Wednesday technique -- acrylic paints + washi stickers!
Behind the Page
Today in our 30 Days of Daily Pages: Women’s History Month class, we’re talking all about Georgia O’Keeffe. For the last few weeks I was looking for these washi tape stickers, and finally found them while cleaning up this morning. More than anything, I wanted to play around some more with acrylic paints, and see how they would look on these clear washi tape stickers, and this was the perfect excuse.
Technique of the Day
I took a few colors of acrylic paint and a waterbrush (watch in the video below) to create today’s page. I really love how these flowers turned out. Using the waterbrush helped me keep the transparency high enough that you can see the outline of the flower fully. I also got a few great gelli prints after using my gel plate as a palette.
How It’s Made
