Daily Pages 02/27/24: Hanging with My Ladies
I love using Daily Pages to create a page on something I'm excited about
Behind the Page
On Friday, we’ll be starting my brand new course: 30 Days of Daily Pages: Women’s History Month edition (more details below). I’ve been working on this one non-stop and I’m so excited for everything this course will bring. In addition to being surrounded by these cool women we’ll be talking about in class, I’ve also been re-organizing all my patterned paper and I came across this great sheet of ladies.
One of my favorite things about Daily Pages is that I can just get creative about the little things I’m excited about and it doesn’t have to be a huge production.
Ever wondered how to weave more of your beliefs and identity into your scrapbooks? Our 30 Days of Daily Pages: Women's History Month Edition class offers just that, focusing on women's stories that inspire us to look inward and outward with a new lens. It's about seeing ourselves in the tapestry of women's history and using our scrapbooks as a canvas for our feminism, dreams, and experiences. This class is your opportunity to make your notebook a reflection of the change you wish to see, all while exploring various artistic techniques. Join us for a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
Technique of the Day
I love precision cutting patterned paper. It’s one of the oldest tricks in the book. It was my go-to technique in high school and college when I didn’t have money for all the cool embellishments, but I could pick up the patterned paper with the same elements and cut them out myself. It is something that I still love doing to this day.
Reflections & Insights
I picked up this patterned paper at JoAnn a while back when it was on sale for ten cents a sheet. It’s one of my favorite patterned papers of all time, and I love that I was able to pick up enough that I don’t ever feel like it’s too precious to use. If you ever see supplies that you love and you know you’ll use on sale, stock up! It makes it even easier to use those supplies on your pages.
