Daily Pages 02/26/24: Currently Collage
I spent this weekend making gelli prints -- what did you do?
Behind the Page
Over the weekend, I pulled out my gelli plates and made a bunch of great prints as my stash was running a bit low. This morning I came to my desk knowing that I wanted to play around with the papers I made over the last few days and whatever else I had lying around my desk.
Technique of the Day
I made this collage on a sheet of computer paper before gluing it into my notebook. That way I could concentrate on creating a collage that I really liked instead of worrying about where the sheets of paper fit perfectly into my notebook. It also made it a lot easier to glue and play around with the dry embossed cardstock.

Reflections & Insights
I picked out a warm color palette for this page and just grabbed whatever I had around. I picked up a few sheets of cardstock and prints I had run through embossing folders — giving them a really cool added texture.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Creating collages are a great way to just play around with the pretty things on your desk. If you’re anything like me, you have more pretty paper than you could ever use in a dozen lifetimes. Don’t be afraid to just cut stuff up and glue it down again. Especially if you’re not sure what else you would use it for!
