Behind the Page

Last week was a bad headache week for me. Bad headache weeks means more TV and less reading. It’s where a big part of my love for TV comes from — having these headaches and not being able to do much of anything other than lay on the couch and watch TV. It was a big mindset shift for me to go from “My body sucks and I can’t be productive or do anything worthwhile” to “I love TV, and this is what my body is capable of right now” and learning how to find joy in those hard moments.

Technique of the Day

Crossing out a prompt that doesn’t fit your story. Like I mentioned above, I didn’t read anything at all in the past few days. It’s just not in the cards for me during a headache week. So instead, I crossed out and covered up the reading prompt on my currently list, and just added in all the extra TV that I got to watch instead (I finished up some really great shows).

Reflections & Insights

I got the stamp set for the background over the weekend in a nice big package from Ali Edwards, including the punctuation kit and the Savor story kit. I get a lot of my traditional scrapbooking materials from Ali Edwards these days because the papers and embellishments she designs go well with my personal style.
