Daily Pages 01/02/24: Stamping, Cutting, and Placing
Quote cards for the win.
Behind the Page
I haven’t been feeling amazing, so I wanted something easy for today. I grabbed a stamp and some ink, made a background on some cardstock. Then I cut up a quote card I had laying around, and inevitably put it in the wrong order. Ooops.
Reflections & Insights
Sometimes a page doesn’t turn out perfectly, and that’s okay. This project isn’t a perfection run, where I can see how many things I can create before making an error. That’s so boring. It also drains any amount of fun out of the project.
For me Daily Pages is about getting to my desk and playing around inside my notebook for a little while. Play, experimentation, and messing up is all part of the habit. If I’m playing and experimenting — sometimes things are going to go a bit weird. And in that weirdness is where you find new learnings, things you never realized before, stuff about your own personal style, and so much more.
Mistakes are how we learn. Give yourself the space to make mistakes.
