Hi, I am Sharon, AKA Nulls and I am excited to be part of rukristin's creative team. My first project using rukristin stamps and products, is an art journal. I over thought it and could not come up with any ideas, and then it came to me!! I love flowers and in fact, I am a bit of a late bloomer...

I have always thought of myself as a creative person, I studied art and design in college, and took all sorts of classes for fun like calligraphy and painting etc. Then life got in the way, I had my precious daughter and had to earn a living, so creativity took a different form, like cupcakes, valentines and Halloween costumes!

Then one day, many years later, I discovered art journaling and fell in love; and then instagram, and pinterest and I began to paint. I paint a lot of flowers, and I paint every day. I am currently doing a 100 day project: a collage a day with Patricia Nordeen, (one of rukristin's Awesome Ladies). I participated in "Find Your Voice" this summer and "30 Day's of Lists". I joined an amazing art-journaling group and create weekly-sometimes daily. Suddenly, my desk was covered with creations, and my mind was full of ideas. I had to create, couldn't stop. The late bloomer had begun to blossom...

Flowers seem to be a constant theme, their happy colors, their rebirth in spring, I just adore them, and they seem to be a good metaphor for me and my life right now. I moved from California to New York a few years ago, and am going through my own metamorphosis right now, and creating and sharing my story through my art has become a part of me. I am still grasping the fact that we have real seasons here on the East coast, and the fact that plants die every winter and reemerge every spring is miraculous.

In the meantime, I have plants all over my house, collect floral paintings, planted seeds this year, sometimes like to smell like a flower, seem to be an over-purchaser of Mexican shirts covered in embroidery, and generally, seem to come home from the grocery store with some sort of flower or plant almost every visit. I love botanical books, flowered quilts, bring home leaves, sticks and flowers from every walk I take with my dogs and the funny thing is: I am really not a girly girl, they just inspire me to create. So hence the flower theme.

So this late bloomer, is eager to learn all sorts of new things..it's never to late right??? I hope you follow along as I learn more about myself and get to know all of you...and excuse my smudges as I learn to stamp.
