Craft a Life You Love with Amy Tangerine + Crafty Ass Female
This week, on the Crafty Ass Female podcast, Amanda and I talked to the multi-talented Amy Tangerine, about her debut book: Craft a Life You Love.

I originally bought her book, as soon as she self-published it on Amazon in 2016 and I was thrilled to hear when it was picked up by a major publisher, re-published in color (with an extra chapter) and headed to book retailers and people around the world. I reached out to her and asked if she'd like to come on the show and talk about her book and her creative journey.
Her book is part memoir and part workbook, and interwoven throughout the book she uses her own story, tools, and practices from her life to help readers in their own lives as well. It's a super digestible read, it's broken up into easily digestible pieces, which is one of the reasons we chose it as the Crafty Ass Female Book Club book for fall 2018. We'll be officially kicking off this, the third book of our book club on October 19th, over on our Patreon page, but you can join us right now in our private chat room and start talking about the book!

We had an amazing conversation with Amy about her book. She spent time telling us about the lessons that she takes from her book and puts into action with her own life.
One of my favorite quotes from Amy about putting ideas into action
All those ideas that you have in your head: it doesn’t matter how many you have, it’s how many you make happen. And that shouldn’t overwhelm you, it should inspire you because if you really do have a bunch of ideas, you putting one of them to work - now, today, taking action - is going to fuel everything that comes afterwards.
As we were finishing up the episode, Amy hit on something that has resonated with me since the minute we stopped recording. She said that instead of searching for balance in her life, lately, she had started to search for harmony.
This word harmony has been on my mind ever since. I love it so much more than balance. Any time I hear the word balance, my mind automatically thinks of a seesaw where it's just one or the other and balancing requires putting in the exact right amount of energy. Harmony visualizes as a sphere, where things can come in and out without the entire thing becoming lopsided.
