Colors + Art Prints = Simple + Gorgeous
Making amazing art with whatever you've got on your desk
Behind the Page
Today, I needed something pretty easy — there have been storms all day, and it was making my head just pound. I was flipping through some papers I had on my desk and came across this tri-colored gel print I made a while back. It fit perfectly in my notebook and was a great start to the page.
Technique of the Day
Originally, I thought I’d cut up a quote and stick it on the page, but then I remembered I had some great bits from my friend Brandi Kincade, who makes these incredible art prints. I was flipping through my 4x6 prints when I came across a little bag of these smaller art cards. She made them up to look like little seed packets — except instead of flowers or veggies, these are seeds of ease, love, and joy. There were a couple others in the package, but since only three fit across my pages, and these matched the background colors (I love that so much), this is what I went with.
Reflections & Insights
We’ve all got beautiful little art bits lying around the house — even if you don’t get prints from an artist like Brandi, you can use brochures, patterned papers, journaling cards, etc — you can also print out screenshots, download digital art prints, and/or use whatever other collage fodder you have lying around.
