Color Block Collage
I love how this one turned out -- I'll definitely be doing this technique more often.
Behind the Page
Last Friday night, at my creative hangout, I spent the evening sorting and organizing all my gel prints. I got all the full pages together and put away, and I worked a long while on sorting all the scraps and cutting them down to fit nicely into my storage spaces. For today’s page, I just grabbed a bunch of the smaller scraps and glued them down on a larger sheet of paper.
I’ve got the other half saved, and I can’t wait to do this technique again soon. I think I’ll get a bunch of really great collage page backgrounds with nothing more than scraps.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Use Collage to Reflect Your Mood
Collage is a great way to visually express how you’re feeling. Get started by picking out materials, colors, and images that vibe with how you’re currently feeling. Feeling peaceful? Use soft, soothing colors and smooth textures. Feeling energetic? Go bold with bright colors, sharp lines, and chaotic layering. Let your collage become a reflection of who you are inside and how you’re feeling today.
Tip: Take a moment before starting and ask yourself, “How am I feeling today?” Use that as your guide for the colors, textures, and images you choose to collage.
