Clean Up Time. New Week. Fresh Start.
What are you currently up to this week?
Behind the Page
I’m beat today — I’ve had wild headaches all weekend long (while we had an amazing ALP Virtual Scrapbook Festival) but it’s taking it’s toll on me this afternoon. To make today’s page as easy as possible, I literally used the random cuttings that I had left on my desk from this weekend. Some of it is the tissue paper stickers I made last week, some of it is gel print scraps from some ATC cards I made over the weekend.
Now my desk is cleaner, and I’ve got a cool page with fun colors and great shapes. Literal win/win.
Technique of the Day
This week’s Currently List:
Watching:
I honestly fell asleep for most of football yesterday after finishing up festival with a migraine. Hopefully tonight’s game is good, because last night’s game was bad.
Reading:
I’m reading up on a bunch of different recipes that I like for thanksgiving. Deciding what I want to make, and figuring out what we can do without this year. I already know that I’m going to de-bone the entire turkey, so I’m not looking to create anything else that’s super complicated. What I’ve got so far: these rolls from Claire, these b sprouts, mashed potatoes, stuffing, something cranberry, and gravy (which I’ll make in advance when I de-bone the turkey).
Listening:
Twilight audiobook for sleeping and I just started The Great Library series on audiobook during the day.
Making:
A bunch of different pages with my gel prints and tissue paper. Whether it was in Daily Pages, or in a little zine, I’ve been enjoying playing with the bits that I’ve already made.
Feeling:
Super tired. Between festival and headaches, I’m ready for a nap or early bedtime.
Planning:
The rest of 2024. (And also some great things coming up in 2025 that I’ll be able to share soon.)
Loving:
The Detroit Lions? It’s a great time to be an NFL fan in Michigan.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Use Currently to Reflect on Patterns Over Time
One of the coolest things about the Currently List is seeing how things add up. After a few weeks (or months), you might notice some patterns. Are you constantly reading a certain genre? Is your “currently feeling” always leaning towards “tired but optimistic”? These patterns tell you something about what’s going on right now.
Pro Tip: Once a quarter or so, go back and look through your lists. What stands out? Take note of recurring entries and reflect on why those themes are showing up. What do these patterns reveal about your right now life?
