Black. It's Perfect for the Page.
And not for the non-sense heat wave we've got going on here!
Today’s Color
Behind the Page
We’ve got another heat wave here — and it’s super humid, so I’m not spending too much time in the studio sans air conditioning. But, it was great to play with the little black bits that I picked out during yesterday’s session.
My book is getting super thick. It was incredibly difficult to photograph today’s page. There just wasn’t a good angle without a lot of glare off the glossy stickers. I finally stood the book on it’s side and photographed the page from a 90 degree angle.
All that to say — if you’re having a hard time taking photos at the end of your notebook — you’re in good company! <3
Technique of the Day
I’m so excited for these last two pages in the book. Today black and tomorrow white. They’re not only the final two colors, but they’re also the last of my monochromatic collage pages. I can’t wait to see how the juxtaposition between the black and the white bits look.
Reflections & Insights
This was such a fun project and I can’t wait to do it again next summer! I had a lot of success keeping things super simple on the weekend (since I don’t usually do Daily Pages on Saturday and Sundays). Next time I do a 30 day Daily Pages challenge, I’m definitely going to incorporate basic weekend pages again.
What were some of the things that worked for you this month?
How can you bring that into your next Daily Pages notebook or future projects?
