Behind the Page

I’ve got the flu :/. I’ve been down for the count since Thursday morning and I’m just now getting back on my feet for a few hours. All in all, it was actually a pretty convenient time to get sick, so if it had to happen, I’m glad it was now. Alright, I’ll be back tomorrow.

You’re all awesome <3

Technique of the Day

This week’s Currently List:

Watching:

Super Bowl was so funny. Jeff is a lifelong Eagles fan, so it was really great to sit here and watch the game without having to be incredibly anxious about the result the whole time1. I also really love a good team defense effort.

I watched Arcane on Netflix the last few days as my sick day show. It’s easily one of the best shows I’ve ever seen, and hands down the best animated show ever. I’ve got so many thoughts about it.

Reading:

Not much book wise. I’ve got a few things on the kindle but I just haven’t been up for the eye strain of reading. Lots of audiobooks though.

Listening:

More fairy tales — I’m on the second ACOTAR book, they’re such good bedtime stories. I’m making my way through Onyx Storm again as well, but that’s been my ‘daytime’ audiobook, and I didn’t do much of my normal daytime activities the past few days.

Making:

Myself feel better. Tea, couch time, cozy blankets, heating pad, lots of water.

Feeling:

Still pretty terrible.

Planning:

More rest.

Loving:

Arcane. So good.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Pair Collage with a Prompt or Journaling Card

A monochromatic collage works beautifully alongside structured journaling, like a Currently List, quote card, or one of those fun mad-libs style cards. The colors set the mood while the journaling grounds the page with exactly what you want to talk about.

Pro Tip: Match your color choice to the vibe of your journaling—cool blues for a calm moment, warm yellows for a happy memory, bold reds for something exciting, or happy greens for the Eagles Super Bowl win.
