What's going on around here this week:

Just a few quick updates this week:
The snow slows everything down. We got some snow on Monday and a full on 8 inches of snow and ice last night. Since I don't drive, I don't really care about the amount of snow. I like seeing everything all white, I'm just not a fan of the cold that comes with it.
I am still so far behind from being sick and super anxious about getting caught up and finishing everything I need to before the holiday. My intention for the upcoming week is to make a to-do list of the things that I NEED to get done, and then cross them off one at a time. I'll work my way down the list and ask for help when I need it.
J and I went to Shake Shack on Thursday. It was so unbelievably good. It was like someone told them exactly how to make my perfect bacon cheeseburger -- and then they did it. I woke up the next morning only wanting another one. I need to figure out how to get myself back there sometime this week. Maybe I can do some Christmas shopping in the area.
I'm working on my intentions for 2014. I don't like the idea of 'resolutions' -- I am not clairvoyant and so I can't possibly hope to know what I'll actually be able to do -- let alone have the resolve to do. I feel like it's a bit of a defeatist word -- It just doesn't work for me. So I'm working on my intentions for 2014 -- these are things that I intend to make a priority. If these intentions don't work out, then I can look at them as a learning experience, not a failure of a goal that I can only make once a year.
Along with my intentions, I'm trying to figure out my One Little Word for 2014 (this year's word was write -- which I'm really happy with). Nothing has been speaking to me just yet -- I know that I want it to be about loving myself more and bringing out the best parts of me as a person -- but I'm just not there with a word yet. I've signed up for Ali Edwards' OLW class this year and I'm looking forward to putting time into this project on a monthly basis and seeing how it helps me along my journey. Do you have a word for 2014?
