52 Love Notes
I've been talking a lot about my most recent project: 29 Goals, in which I take on 29 goals before I turn 29 next January. One of those goals is to write 52 Love Notes.
I've been writing love notes to J for just about five years now. Most of them are quick one-liners that I sneak to him while we are cuddling on the couch, but I also like writing longer notes, super mini-albums, or giving him cards too. Fortunately for me, J is a paper hoarder and likes to keep them all.

I want to be more deliberate in my love note writing. It's an essential K&J thing. It makes me really happy to write them, it makes J super happy to read them, and it makes us both happy to look back on them.
A few years back I decided that it would be a good idea for him to have a place to put all these notes. For Valentine's Day 2011, I decorated this Maya Road chipboard mailbox.

That mailbox got filled up pretty quickly, and so for Christmas I made him this altered book. Each page has an envelope or two to tuck the notes inside.

I think this is still one of the coolest projects I've ever completed.
This Year's Present
This year as part of my 29 Goals project, I'm challenging myself to write 52 love notes over the next twelve months, so I thought it would be fun to make a new book to hold them all.

This book is made out of envelopes. It's easy to do, and you can put together one with the supplies around your house.
Grab a bunch of envelopes.
Punch two holes approx 2" apart on each envelope.
Use a binder ring to attach them all together.

PS -- I'm counting this as progress on Goal #4: 'Make & Share 12 mini-albums' and Goal #25: 'make 12 gifts for other people'.
